Lions Pick Corner Back From Miami

(ALLEN PARK, MI) – The Detroit Lions announced that they have signed free agent CB RJ Stanford. The contract terms were not disclosed.

Stanford enters his fifth NFL season after spending the previous three with the Miami Dolphins. He played in five games for the Dolphins last season, where he recorded nine tackles, one interception, and two pass defences.

A seventh-round draft pick, 223rd overall, by the Carolina Panthers in the 2010 NFL Draft out of Utah, Stanford has played in 46 career games. His career totals include 36 tackles, two interceptions for 53 yards, three pass defences, and three tackles for loss.
