(WINDSOR, ON) – The Lancers women’s fastpitch softball team had a hit and miss weekend, completing just three of six games due to the weather.

Windsor first met Laurier in Kitchener and dropped both halves of the double header Friday by 7-0 and 11-5 scores. Saturday was a washout as the rain cancelled both games scheduled in Ottawa against the Gee Gees.

The Lancers were treated a little better on Sunday, winning their first game 10-6 over the Carlton Ravens while the second game was again cancelled.

At the end of the road trip, Windsor sits with a 1-2 record in the OIFWA. The season will continue this Thursday when Western will host Windsor at Stronach Park in London.

The Lancers will open at home on Saturday, September 19, at the Turtle Club diamonds in LaSalle, as McMaster comes to town. The first game begins at 2:00 pm.

Windsor will then play two games against Brock on Sunday, at Turtle Club, with the first pitch at 11:00 am.
