(WINDSOR, ON) – Coming off a successful Nashville Predators development camp in July, former Peterborough Pete and Windsor Spitfire Trevor Murphy has signed with the NHL club.

MurphyHeading into the Nashville training camp, one of eight Spitfires to skate with NHL teams, Murphy is coming off his best OHL season. With 24 goals last year, he was included in the top scoring defensemen, pocketing 63 points in just 59 games.

It is unclear if Murphy will enter the Preds farm system in Milwaukee or if he will re-join the Spitfires as an overage junior.
