Soccer Sides Dispose Of Redeemer

(ANCASTER, ON) – The St Clair women’s soccer team remained undefeated on the season after defeating Redeemer 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Ancaster. The Saints’ goals were scored by Tiffany Trembley, Kaitlyn Austin, and Emily Hatton).

Katrina Arnold was solid in net, picking up the win and shutout.

The women are now 4 -0 on the season while Redeemer fell to 0-4. St Clair is tied for first place in the OCAA West Division with Fanshawe College, and are currently ranked 4th in the OCAA. They have scored 20 goals while allowing just 2, in their four league matches.

St Clair is next in action at home on Friday afternoon at 2:30 pm when they host the Mohawk Mountaineers at the Main Campus Field.

Meanwhile, the men got their second win in a row on the road, defeating Redeemer 4-0. Jordan Lidia was the story for the Saints, scoring all four goals. Justin Danelon was solid in net, making some key saves when the game was close, to pick up the win and shutout.

The men’s side is now 2-1-1 on the season while Redeemer fell to 2-2.

St Clair sits in second place in the West Division with 7 points. They also next see action at home on Friday against Mohawk at 4:30 pm.
