(WINDSOR, ON) – The Lancers picked up their second win of the year, this time a road win in Waterloo by the score of 91-81, Saturday afternoon. The win isolates Windsor atop the OUA West division with an unblemished 2-0 record in the young season.

Alex Campbell supplied the damage against the Warriors as he dropped 22 points on 66% shooting. Meanwhile, rookie Isiah Osborne is settling into his role with the team as he put up 18 points and 5 rebounds.

The Lancers led 40-34 at the half as they battled a Waterloo team that wouldn’t give up.

The women’s squad was also successful at Waterloo as they won running away, 88-63. Their second win gives the inexplicably 9th ranked Lancers a perfect 2-0 record, equalling Western.

The Lancers were led by 4th year Caitlyn Longmuir with a game-high 20 points. Meanwhile, three women logged double-doubles as Andrew Kiss dropped 16 points and 11 boards, Cheyanne Roger added 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Emily Prevost put up 12 points and set the standard with 17 rebounds.

The Lancers were slow to start the game, but a 31-8 run in the 2nd quarter shot them in front 50-26 by the half.

Windsor returns to St Denis Fieldhouse on November 13 when Western comes to town. The men tip off at 8:00 pm while the women will play for first place starting at 6:00 pm.
