Saints Face Tough Opponent In Hawks

(WINDSOR, ON) – The St Clair volleyball teams will have their hands full as they play their final home games of the semester this Sunday at the Sportsplex.

The Saints will take on the perennial volleyball powerhouse Humber Hawks from Etobicoke. The women will take to the floor at 1:00 pm.

The Saints are currently 3-3 on the season and ranked 10th in Ontario. Humber is ranked 1st in Ontario and 4th in Canada, with a record of 6-0. The Saints have spread their offense around the line-up well all season with four players averaging above 2 points per set.

St Clair is currently led by 2nd year player Shalena Horst who is averaging 3.4 points per set.

The St Clair men will take on the Hawks at 3:00 pm.

St Clair has a record of 2-4 on the season while Humber is sitting at 4-2 and are ranked 6th in Ontario. However, the Hawks are coming off a huge upset win Thursday night over the higher ranked Niagara Knights.

The Saints are led by rookie right side hitter Michael Knight who’s averaging 3.4 points per set.

Both matches will be broadcast live on WE-TV.
