Griffins Capture 4th Straight Regional Title

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Herman Green Griffins are on a rampage and seem to be unstoppable after soundly defeating the Northern Vikings, out of Sarnia, for their 4th straight SWOSSA title. The Griffins built up an early lead and rode it out to a 44-3 victory in front of a packed Alumni Stadium at the University of Windsor, yesterday evening.

The Vikings earned their entry to the regional title game by defeating the St Patrick’s Fighting Irish 24-21. Herman’s route involved running over the Holy Names Knights 30-7 on November 19.

Leading the Griffins against Northern was Jalen Jackson who scored three touchdowns en route to the lopsided victory. Herman was up 35-0 at the half.

Herman now moves on to the OFSSA finals next week in Hamilton as they face the Frontenac Falcons from Kingston.
