(TORONTO, ON) – The St Clair Saints men’s basketball team dropped a 102-67 decision to Mohawk in the semi-final game of the George Brown College Husky Classic, Sunday afternoon in Toronto.

After shooting the ball well in the first half, the Saints could not sustain the effort in the second as Mohawk pulled away with a decided advantage in rebounding (74-57), free throw points (28-10), and points off turnovers (24-6).

First year shooting guard Trevon Mollison led St Clair with 14 points and joined Lance Drummonds (13), Patrick Donnelly (13), and Max Reiner (10) in double figures.

The Saints return to regular season action at home against Redeemer on January 16 with tip time at 3:00pm.

At the break the Saints announced that men’s head coach Luc Stevenson was let go for philosophical differences. Stevenson was replaced with former women’s head coach Jimmy Parsons for the remainder of the season.

The Saints lost four of their first five games in the OCAA West and are currently in a tie for 6th place with a 4-5 record. Including exhibition play, St Clair hold a 10-9 record.
