(WINDSOR, ON) – The Express split a pair of home games over the weekend as they maintained a .500 record overall. The net result is a 6-6 record and 2nd place standing, 3.5 games behind the London Lightning in the NBLC West.Against those same Lightning, the express scored 115 points, but it still wasn’t enough. The visitors put up 125 against Windsor for their 5th straight win.
Tony Bennett dropped a game-high 32 points while Chris Commons and Maurice Bolden each added 19 points. Guard Adrian Moss registered a double-double, for the Express, which included 10 points and 12 assists.
On Saturday, the Express braced for a visit by the Niagara River Lions. In three previous meetings the home team prevailed and the rule stayed true with a 108-103 Windsor victory.
Brandon Robinson put up a game high 27 points, Saturday, and added 5 steals. Bennett scored 19 points with Commons netting 17.
This time, Bolden shot a double-double as he dropped 10 points and cleaned the glass for 10 boards.
Windsor is looking to break the rule on Thursday when they travel to Niagara Region for a rematch with the Lions. The Express will be back in action at home on January 29 when they tipoff with the Island Storm at 7:30pm.
