(WINDSOR, ON) – The St Clair Saints had a tough go of it at the SportsPlex last night when the Fanshawe Falcons left town with a 3-0 win in men’s OCAA volleyball action. Never out of the match, the Saints couldn’t overcome the formidable Falcons defense.

Fanshawe took the first set 25-13, but St Clair came back, always improving, dropping the next two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-22.

Keaton Rebkowec led the Saints attack with 7 kills and 4 digs. Justin Fisher contributed 6 kills to the offense while Dean Oozeer helped to shore up the back court with 5 digs.

The loss leaves St Clair languishing in 8th place in the OCAA West, with 8 points after 16 games. The Saints will trek to Sudbury to meet Boréal on Saturday afternoon followed by a match against Cambrian on Sunday.

The Saints did receive some good news as Robert Carter was announced last night as committing to the St Clair men’s volleyball program for the 2016-17 season.
