Shalena Horst has led the St Clair Saints into the playoffs by averaging 3.0 points per game. The Saints will take on Trent Excalibur on 20 February in an OCAA cross-over match.

(WINDSOR, ON) – The St Clair Saints women’s volleyball team will be on the road this Saturday for their OCAA playoff cross-over match. After finishing in a tie for 4th place in the OCAA West Division, with a record of 10-8, the Saints ended up in 6th place due to tie breaking criteria.

St Clair will now travel to Peterborough to take on the 3rd place Trent Excalibur on Saturday at 1:00pm. The winner of this match will advance to the OCAA Championships in North Bay at Canadore College, from February 25 to 27.

The Saints will have their work cut out for them as Trent finished the regular season with a record of 16-4. The Excalibur are ranked 3rd in Ontario while St Clair is currently not in the top 10.

St Clair will be relying on a balanced attack to try and upset Trent with five players averaging 2.0 points per set. The Saints are led by second year player Shalena Horst, who is averaging 3.3 pps.
