(WINDSOR, ON) – Kirk Williams Jr stepped to the plate to lead the Windsor Express over the Orangeville A’s at home on Friday night. The second-year member of the Express dropped a team high 21 points as Windsor defeated the A’s 97-85 in front of 1,115.

Windsor spread the scoring around, preventing Orangeville from keying on one player. The Express received double-digit scoring from six players including Shaquille Keith (16), Eric Frederick (15), Brandon Robinson (14), Chris Commons (13), and Maurice Bolden (12).

Bolden added 10 boards for a double-double on a night when a neither team played especially well with the ball. Between both the Express and the A’s, the scorer recorded a total of 34 turnovers over 48 minutes of play.

Windsor did shine on defense, however. In addition to the 17 turnovers they caused, the Express also accounted for 6 rejections and 12 steals.

The difference in the game was in shooting from the floor. Windsor, although low, connected on 42% including 9-of-25 from 3-point range. Orangeville missed the mark 66% of the time.
