Kings Host Halton In South Finals

(KINGSVILLE, ON) – After defeating the Niagara Whalers 4-1 Monday night, the Kingsville Kings have swept Round 2 of the GMHL playoffs and have advanced to the South Division finals.

The Kings will host the Halton Ravens tonight at Kingsville Arena in the first game of a best-of-7 series. The puck drops at 8:00pm. Halton reached the finals after disposing of the Toronto Attack in a best-of-5, 3 games to 2.

In four regular season games this year, the Kings have skated away with four wins over Halton by a combined score of 21-6. Kingsville boasts the highest ranked goaltending duo in the GMHL.

Wes Werner leads the league with a 1.20 goals against average with Jan Pechek in 2nd at 1.74. The tables are reversed as Pechek has a .951 save percentage while Werner sits just behind him at .942.
