(OTTAWA, ON) – Second-year guard Carly Steer led the Windsor Lancers on the road against the Carleton Ravens. The 63-48 victory pushed the Lancers through to the OUA Final Four, hosted by the Ottawa GG’s starting March 11.

Steer put up 19 points for Windsor and pulled down 5 rebounds as the Lancers received double-digit scoring from three players Saturday night. Montreal’s Emily Prevost dropped 17 while clearing the glass for 9 rebounds and Cheyanne Roger bettered her output from the match against Carleton on November 28, 2015.

Roger notched a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards while blocking 5 Ravens attempts.

Windsor trailed 16-12 by the end of 10 minutes and managed to claw back just 2 points before halftime, heading to the dressing room behind 26-24. The Lancers were able to turn the tables in the 3rd quarter by putting up 19 points offensively while Roger and Alyssa Cerino took care of the rebounding in the back court.

Overall, Windsor out rebounded Carleton 32-19 in the defensive zone, limiting the Ravens to just 6 second chance points while scoring 17 themselves.

The Lancers then doubled up the Ravens 20-10 in the final frame to seal the victory.

Windsor now qualifies for the OUA Final Four in Ottawa and will face the Ryerson Rams in the first round match on March 11.
