CCAA Match-Ups At St Clair

The St Clare Saints will be hosting the 2015-16 CCAA Women’s National Basketball Championships from 17-19 March 2016 at the main campus Sportsplex.

(WINDSOR, ON) – The St Clair Saints get set to host the 2015-16 CCAA National Women’s Basketball Championship with play beginning on March 17 at the Sportsplex. The Saints will welcome eight teams from across Canada to compete for the top honour is collage basketball.

St Clare (8) begins the tournament matched against the always formidable Sainte-Foy Dynamiques (1) of the RSEQ. Les Dynamiques defeated the three-time defending national champs Montmorency Nomades to take the RSEQ finals this year. Game time is 6:00pm, the 3rd game on the 4-game schedule for Day 1.

The Saints enter the CCAA Final 8 with a 13-5 regular season record and quarter final finish in the OCAA.

Also appearing in Windsor will be Edmonton’s Northern Alberta Institute of Technology Ooks (3) tipping off against the Vancouver Island University Mariners (6) at 1:00pm, the Humber Hawks (2) vs. St Mary’s University College Lightning (7) of Calgary, at 3:00pm, and Charlottetown’s Holland Hurricanes (4) defending against les Nomades de Montmorency (5) at 8:15pm.
