Kerley, Schwartz Join Lions

(ALLEN PARK, MI) – The Detroit Lions have added two more players to their roster starting with the signing of OL Geoff Schwartz, who joins the team fro the New York Giants. Schwartz was a 7th round pick in 2008 by the Carolina Panthers out of Oregon State.

He appeared in 32 games with Carolina before moving on to Minnesota and then Kansas City. Schwartz joined the Giants in 2014, starting 11 games.

Most recently, the Lions signed free agent WR Jeremy Kerley, yesterday. The Texas Christian University alum played in all 16 games for the New York Jets last season, compiling 16 receptions for 152 years and 2 touchdowns.

Kerley has played for the Jets since being drafted in the 5th round in 2011, appearing in 74 games and making 182 catches for 2,225 yards and 9 TDs. He can also perform on special teams as he returned 48 punts last year.
