GMHL Game 7 Winner Take All

(TOTTENHAM, ON) – The 2015-2016 GMHL season comes down to one game.

The Kingsville Kings faced potential elimination Sunday night in Tottenham, in game 6 of the Russell Cup Finals. The Kings answered the bell in a back-and-forth, well fought game, prevailing 5-3 over the Tottenham Steam.

The win forces a decisive Game 7 in Kingsville tonight, starting at 7:00pm.

Kingsville rallied from being down a goal three times. Tallies came from Mathias Gardiman, Matt Matyi, and Steven Szekesy, and two from Dan Leach.

Goaltender Jan Pechek was a force between the pipes while facing a barrage of shots from the Steam.

Game 7 will be at Kingsville Arena tonight with the Russell Cup on the line. A full house is expected and team officials suggest to arrive early for the best seating.
