(DETROIT, MI) – The Detroit Lions have announced the scheduling of the 2016 Quick Lane Bowl to be played December 26 at 2:30pm. The Lions are the only NFL club to own, host, and operate and NCAA bowl game.

The Quick Lane Bowl will feature teams from the Big Ten and the ACC to be determined by both conferences in conjunction with bowl officials. The 2014 game included Rutgers and North Carolina with the Scarlet Knights defeating the Tar Heels 40-21. Last season, the Mid-American Conference’s Central Michigan Chippewas lost 21-14 to the Big 10’s Minnesota Golden Gophers, at Ford Field.
