(WINDSOR, ON) – Flat track roller derby return to Windsor with a bang Saturday as the Border City Brawlers’ All-Stars and Canadian Clubbers went tête-à-tête with their Niagara Roller Girls and Forest City Derby Girls counterparts at Adie Knox Arena.

Having played on the road for the first part of the season, the Brawlers had to wait for the ice to be removed from Adie Knox before opening the home season. That day came Saturday with the arrival of the Greenbelt Riot All Star Travel Team to provide the opposition for the Brawlers, while the Clubbers hosted the Timber Rollers from London.

Flat track roller derby is gaining traction in Windsor as the Brawlers enter their fifth season. They skate as a member league in the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association, and are currently ranked 195 of 288 leagues.

Keep track of the Brawlers’ progress and future bouts at their Facebook page, or follow them on Twitter. The next home date is May 21 at Adie Know starting at 5:00pm.
