NBLC Star Mills Shot Dead In Chicago

(CHICAGO, IL) – Former London Lightning player Jonathan Mills was shot dead outside a west Chicago laundromat earlier today. Mills, 26, was shot multiple times, according to Chicago Police, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mills was a high school star who last played the small power forward position with the Lightning of the National Basketball League of Canada during the 2014-15 season. He was recently playing with the Chicago Fury of the Midwest Basketball League after being suspended for the 2015-16 NBLC season, “… for conduct detrimental to the bests interests of the league.”

Mills played college ball at the University of Southern Mississippi after graduating from North Lawndale High School.
