Centaurs Myth Exposed By Rogues

(BURLINGTON, ON) – The Windsor Rogues travelled to Burlington to meet the Centaurs B-side at Sherwood Forest Park on Saturday. The Rogues departed the GTA with a well earned 73-19 result against a very experienced side.

Windsor quickly established a 19-0 margin by scoring three tries before Burlington managed to get on the board. The Centaurs took advantage of a number of handling errors by the Rogues and closed the margin at halftime to 24-19, in Windsor’s favour.

With the wind at their backs for the 2nd half, Windsor took control, using their superior speed and agility. They adjusted their game plan to take advantage of spinning the ball out wide and recycling quickly at the breakdown.

Scoring two tries apiece for the Rogues were Ryan Dmitro, Austin Crough, and Spencer Bryant. Zac Cushing, Chris Shaw, Simon Kazibwe, Scott Murphy and veteran prop Mike Park each added singles en route to 11.

Shaw converted on 8.

The Rogues are next in action on August 13 at Alice Road when they host Grimsby Gentlemen, kicking off at 1:30pm.
