Penalties Sink Lancers

Shalapata-Header(WINDSOR, ON) – The Brock Badgers came from behind to tie the Windsor Lancers 1-1 in the opening match of the 2016 OUA season, Saturday. Windsor would be one goal shy on Sunday as they dropped a 1-0 decision at the hands of McMaster Marauders.

Jamar Redhead put the Lancers on the score sheet in the 6th minute against Brock. The two sides would settle down with Windsor taking most of the play. The Badgers eked out a point as Arsen Platis connected on a penalty with 8 seconds remaining on the clock in the 2nd half.

On Sunday, Windsor gave up a 28th minute penalty to the visitors and weren’t able to gain the equalizer.

Kyle Vizirakis played both matches in goal for Windsor.

The Lancers embark on a 5-game road trip starting this Wednesday in London. They return home to face York on September 24.
