Spits Close Out Pre-Season Splitting With Sting

Shalapata-Header(WINDSOR, ON) – In the final pre-season tune-up at home, the Windsor Spitfires doubled up the Sarnia Sting 4-2 Friday night. It was head coach Rocky Thompson’s opportunity  to do some final assessments on the rookies and new arrivals in camp.

Sarnia opened the scoring half way through the 1st period on a goal by Anthony Salinitri. Less than two minutes later, Julius Nattinen, a second round pick by the Anaheim Ducks, tied the score and Luke Boka potted the go-ahead with the only goal of the 2nd period.
