(WINDSOR, ON) – Following on the home opening 2-1 win by the St Clair Saints last Tuesday against the Lambton Lions, the men made it two straight victories with an away win at Conestoga on the weekend.
The Saints went down 1-nil to the Lions after an own goal at the 15 minute mark. To their credit, however, St Clair worked their way back into the match and drew even 10 minutes later on a tally by Yale Chadsey. They then carried play in the 2nd half and capped the day when Leighton Speechley-Price found the back of the net in the 65th minute.
In Kitchener on Saturday, the Saints dominated from start to finish and earned themselves a 5-0 win over the Condors.
Stefan Milidrag broke the stalemate in the 21st minute, and the goal stood up to the break. Milidrag doubled the lead 10 minutes into the 2nd half before Speechley-Price followed with a third.
Luke Husband put the match out of reach at 4-nil in the 69th minute and Martin Nyul finished strongly in stoppage time.
Shane Beaton earned the clean sheet for St Clair.
Now at 2-1 on the season, the men will return home on September 23 to host Mohawk at 4:30pm.
