Hounds Exact Revenge On Spitfires

Shalapata-Header(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Spitfires took one on the chin last night as their early season record dropped to 2-1 after a 3-1 loss to the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds. The Spitfires were coming off a 5-2 win over the Hounds on the road on September 23.

The visitors had built a 2-goal lead by the end of 40 minutes before Cole Purboo got Windsor on the board, from Aaron Luchuk and Logan Brown, at 6:49 of the 3rd. The Soo netted an empty netter in the last minute to round out the scoring.

The Spitfires travel to Mississauga tonight for a match-up with the Steelheads at the Hershey Centre. On Sunday they’ll be at the General Motors Centre in Oshawa to take on the Generals.

Windsor will return home for a Thursday night game when the Steelheads come to town. Puck drop is at 7:05pm.
