Saints Romp Over Lions

(SARNIA, ON) – On Tuesday evening, the St Clair Saints (6-1-1) travelled to Sarnia to take on the Lambton Lions (0-7-1) and came away with a convincing 4-1 win. The Saints are currently ranked #15 in Canada and #4 in Ontario.

The Saints have scored 28 goals and allowed 11 in 8 matches.

Lambton opened the scoring in the 17th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Saints took over the play for the rest of the first half, but failed to score the equalizer.

The Saints continued command of the game in the second half, scoring 4 unanswered goals.

Amber Hosker tied the game up in the 60th minute with Kaitlyn Austin scoring shortly after in the 62nd minute to give St Clair the lead for good.

Melanie Jubenville scored on a penalty kick in the 81st minute to make it 3-1 and Marissa Gabriele rounded out the scoring in the 90th minute.

Alexandria Samping got the win in goal.

The Saints are next in action when they host the Redeemer Royals on Saturday at 2:00pm at the Main Campus Field. The Royals are currently 2-6 on the season.
