Women Roll Over Redeemer

(WINDSOR, ON) – The St Clair women’s soccer team picked up a big win Saturday afternoon when they hosted the Redeemer Royals at the Main Campus Field.

The women defeated the Royals by a score of 7-0. Kaitlyn Austin had a huge first half by scoring three times in the first 12 minutes. Cassie Nicholas made it 4-0 in the 15th minute before Austin scored her 4th in the 20th minute.

Melanie Daniel added two more goals in the 39th and 66th minute to round out the scoring.

Alexandria Samping was solid in net and earned the win  and clean sheet.

With the win the Saints improved to 7-1-1.

The women are next in action tonight at 6:00pm when they host the first place Fanshawe Falcons, in their final regular season game, at the Libro Centre in Amherstburg. The Saints are currently ranked 5th in Ontario.

St Clair has scored 35 goals and allowed 11 in 9 matches.
