Lancers Bow Out Of Playoff Contention

Shalapata-Header(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Lancers capped off their season with a 38-9 home loss to the Laurier Golden Hawks at Alumni Field on Saturday. The loss officially eliminated the Lancers from post-season gridiron play with a record of 2-6.

QB Jalen Brady led the offense for most of the contest, hitting on 10 of 16 pass attempts for 86 yards. Rookie receiver Cassell Jones snatched 4 passes for 41 yards in the air while RB Tarrence Crawford picked up 68 yards on 18 carries.

Windsor’s only touchdown came when first year receiver Chris Tannous pulled down his first OUA TD pass from out-going QB Casey Wright with under 3 minutes remaining on the clock in the 4th quarter.

Prior to the game, the Lancers honoured the graduating seniors including Randy Beardy, Joe Iatzko, Frank Renaud, Anthony Malandruccolo, Casey Wright, Jeff Masson, Nick Vincent, David Flewelling, Travis Durocher, Scott McEwen, Matt Lefler, and Greg Bolger.
