Herman Retains WECSSAA Gridiron Title

Shalapata-Header(WINDSOR, ON) – Alumni Stadium at the University of Windsor was the scene, last night, of both the AA and AAA WECSSAA football championships.

On the under-card, L’Essor held on in the face of late game pressure from Essex to emerge with a 19-16 win.

In the senior circuit, Herman fashioned a come-back victory over the underdog Holy Names Knights. After trailing for 3 quarters, the Green Griffins exploited Holy Names’ defensive breakdowns to capture their ninth straight WECSSAA championship, 25-17.
