A mainstay during two years in Windsor, including the first championship win, point guard Darren Duncan will add a welcome leadership dimension to the forming roster. As the captain of the Express in his time here, Duncan was a leader on the court and continues to hold two all-time records, including total assists (802) and total steals (160).
Twice an NBL Canada All Star, Duncan also earned a WESPY award as Best Male Basketball Player.
Returning, as well, to Windsor is 6’ 10” forward Lester Prosper.
Prosper played 24 games with the Express in their first year of action, averaging 7.9 ppg and 7.7 rpg over 20 minutes. Prosper was drafted by the Maine Red Claws of the NBA D-League, an affiliate of the Boston Celtics, but was not active on the roster. He went on to play in England, Spain, and Mexico.
The Express kick off their season on December 29 in Orangeville with a repeat performance at home the next night.
