The No. 7 ranked Lancers were edged out during the 1st quarter 19-15, but fell off the pace as the Gaels rocketed ahead by 18 points at the half, 41-23. Windsor was shut down in the 3rd frame, managing just 8 points as Queen’s put up 13. Even though the women managed to out-score the Kingston squad in the 4th, it was too little to overcome the hole they dug for themselves.

Kayah Clarke led the Lancer offense with 14 points, just one shy of Queen’s Abby Dixon, who shot a game-high 15. Veteran Emily Prevost picked up a double-double for Windsor by knocking down 12 points and clearing the boards for 10 rebounds. Logan Sims also scored in the double digits for the Lancers, picking up 10.

Windsor is looking to reverse their fortunes by rebounding at home against Western tonight. The tip-off is at 6:00pm.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to wear their finest Hawaiian shirts and to join in with the Lancer Beach Party theme this evening.
