First Win Of 2017 Evens Saints At 5-5

(KITCHENER, ON) – The St Clair men’s volleyball team travelled to Kitchener Sunday afternoon to take on the Conestoga Condors and open up the second half of their OCAA schedule. The men came away with a huge win by defeating Conestoga 3-0 and avenging an earlier 3-2 loss to the Condors in the first semester.

The set scores for St Clair were 25-21, 25-19, and 25-18.

Outside hitter Mike Knight led the way for St Clair with 16 kills, 3 stuff blocks, and 4 digs. Outside hitter Jared Niziolek also had a big game with 16 kills, 1 service ace, and 6 digs.

With the win, the Saints improve their record to 5-5 on the season while Conestoga slipped to 4-6.

The St Clair men are currently ranked 10th in the OCAA and sit in 6th place in the West Division. They are next in action on Saturday when they travel to Hamilton to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers.
