(WINDSOR, ON) – Windsor TFC has announced a major partnership with Windsor Soccer Club as part of their long-term, high performance player pathway strategy. To kick-off the relationship, the clubs will implement a training and development program for boys and girls in the U9-U12 age bracket.
The program will be open to all players in Essex County.
The first joint venture will be a U9-U12 clinic to be held Saturday, February 11 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Central Park Athletics. Interested players are invited to send a confirmation email and then register on the day of the clinic between 11:30am and 12:30pm. The cost is just $20 per player.
“For Windsor TFC to thrive, we need to connect with grass roots clubs and players at the earliest level to instill a technical learning and passion for the game,” said Windsor TFC president Vancho Cirovski. “The Windsor Soccer Club is a perfect fit for us. We are excited about the prospects this relationship will offer.”
Weekly training sessions will then follow for selected players who are eager to continue their technical and personal development under the tutelage of the strongest development academy in North America with Toronto FC.
“We are extremely pleased to build this relationship with the Windsor TFC in ways that we can contribute, as well as to offer our kids exciting development opportunities at higher levels of play in Ontario,” said WSC president Paul Bartolo.
