Women Split Weekend Tilts

(WINDSOR, ON) – The St Clair women’s volleyball team were on the road this past weekend to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers and the Niagara Knights.

On Saturday night, the Saints took on the Mountaineers in Hamilton. St Clair came away with a solid 3-1 win.

Set scores for St Clair were 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, and 25-19. Mohawk is currently ranked 5th in the OCAA.

On Sunday afternoon, St Clair was in Welland to take on the top ranked Knights. The Saints played well against a strong Niagara team, but fell to the Knights 3-1.

Game scores for Niagara were 25-21, 19-25, 27-25, and 25-18. Niagara is ranked 2nd in the OCAA and 11th in Canada, and are now 11-1 on the season.

With the weekend split, the Saints are 9-3 this year and occupy 3rd place in the OCAA West Division. The women are currently ranked 4th in the OCAA.

St Clair is next in action this Saturday when they host the Humber Hawks at 1:00pm at the Sportsplex. The Hawks are ranked 1st in the OCAA and 1st in Canada.
