Everybody Gets A Medal

Shalapata-Header(WINDSOR, ON) – Changes, announced Monday, to NASCAR’s scoring system recognized the often expressed notion that the series is extremely boring for fans of motor racing. Among other tweaks, the NASCAR competition will now feature 3-stage races with more championship points being awarded to the top-10 finishers of the first two stages.

The changes are designed to create more excitement within the running of each race. NASCAR is really just rewarding participation.

While NASCAR turns to gimmicks to entice fans and manufacture thrills, IndyCar continues to provide an organic adrenaline rush for spectators and drivers alike. The open-wheeled circuit will be the overall beneficiary of the NASCAR changes while the stock car contest become more and more convoluted.

IndyCar just needs to get the word out about its superior product on the track.
