(WINDSOR, ON) – Windsor Lancers head coach Steve Hart and the Lancer men’s soccer team have announced the commitment of local standout recruit Chris Campbell to the Blue and Gold for the 2017-18 season.

A native of Windsor, Chris has enjoyed much success in the midfield playing for the well-known US Academy Clubs, including the top ranked Michigan Wolves. His sense of team play and field acumen have allowed him to achieve such heights as a State Cup finalist, Midwest Regional Champion, and US National semi-finalist.

“Chris is a talented midfielder with good vision, control, and purpose,” said Hart. “We are pleased that Chris has decided to become a Lancer and welcome him to the squad.”

In addition to playing competitively throughout the US Midwest, Campbell has had the pleasure of being able to measure his North American skill set against some of Spain’s best future talent when his Michigan squad suited up against Atletico Madrid, Espanyol, and other European academy teams.

More recently, Campbell has enjoyed success locally as a member of Anthony Di Meo’s Ontario Cup Champion Windsor VH Soccer Club and its successor, Windsor TFC Academy.
