A top prospect for the 2017 NHL Draft in Chicago, Vilardi had four goals and five assists as the Spitfires swept the week with home wins over Sault Ste Marie, London, and Sudbury.
Following 2-point efforts against the Greyhounds (1G, 1A) and Knights (2A), the Kingston native capped the weekend with five points (3G, 2A) in a 7-1 victory over the Wolves.
Vilardi leads the club in goals (28) and is second only to Jeremy Bracco (75) with 59 points.
Vilardi, 17, is from Kingston and playing in his second season with the Spitfires. He was chosen second overall in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.
He is listed third overall among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting for the 2017 NHL Draft and competed in January’s CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Quebec City, scoring a goal for Team Cherry in their 7-5 win.
