Saints At OCAA Indoor Soccer Playoffs

(WINDSOR, ON) – The St Clair Saints varsity indoor soccer teams will be taking part in the OCAA Indoor Soccer Championships at Redeemer University in Ancaster starting today through to March 25. The event features the top 10 male and female teams from across Ontario.

The St Clair women advanced to the championship by finishing first at the Regional Championship tournament, going 3-0. The Saints are in a pool with Sheridan, Humber, Redeemer, and Sault. They will play two games today and two tomorrow, with the top 2 teams in the pool advancing to the semi-finals on Saturday.

The St Clair men made it to the championship with a .500 record, 1-1-1, in their pool and placing 2nd at Regionals. The men are in a pool with Redeemer, Fanshawe, Mohawk, and the University of Toronto-Mississauga .

Like the women, the men will also play two games today followed by two tomorrow, with the top 2 teams in their pool advancing to the semi-finals on Saturday. The men are the defending OCAA silver medalists.
