(WINDSOR, ON) – Windsor TFC yesterday announced the return of long-time team sponsors as well as the introduction of a new, long term partnership.
Team president Vancho Cirovski welcomed back Darcy King, of Unique Tool and Gauge, and Philip Rocca, owner of Mezzo Restaurante, as continuing sponsors of the League 1 Ontario club.
“One of the things that allowed us to get to the stage where we are as Windsor TFC is the commitment and support of people who have been instrumental in sponsoring and partnering with us,” said Cirovski. “We couldn’t have done this without the on-going support of [King and Rocca] who have been with us for three years.”
Likewise, Cirovski presented LiUNA local 625 as a new major team sponsor with a commitment to an on-going relationship.
“We have an incredible partnership with a group that we want to announce right now as one of our major sponsors for 2017 and potentially for the next two or three years,” he said as he introduced LiUNA Business Manager Rob Petroni.
The LiUNA boss expressed his wish that the union could have been a part of the club in previous years, but indicated that the partnership with Windsor TFC would be a long term agreement.
“Soccer in Canada, Ontario, and here in Windsor, is a growing sport, and one of the fastest growing sports here,” Petroni said. “And this is something we’re very excited about, our members are excited about it, and we’re happy to promote it. It fits right in with what we do with building communities.”
The 2017 season for Windsor TFC kicks off tonight at 8:15pm when they host the North Mississauga Panthers at Alumni Stadium. Tickets are available at the door for $10 or $5 for children under 12 years of age.
