(LaSALLE, ON) – Perfect weather greeted four teams for the first ever high school fastpitch tournament. Organized by Paul Scott and Doug Wiseman, the tourney showcased the strong talent in this area.

The sport has established itself at the post-secondary level and is now gaining traction at area high schools. Though not yet part of WECSSAA, fastpitch is an Olympic event and has a high participation rate amongst US colleges, with a lot of scholarships available.

Congratulations to the Amherst Bulldogs, coached by Nikki Laurendeau Maxey and Mike Prescott for winning this inaugural event.
