Rivalry Renewed For Central Finals

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor Express will tip-off for the second straight season against Highway 401 rivals, the London Lightning, for the Central Division crown and a berth in the league finals.

The second seeded Express swept the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans 3-0 in their opening round series. Windsor completed the sweep with a 105-104 win in regulation time on May 10.

London, the 1st place finishers in the regular season, also swept their opening round opponent, the Orangeville A’s.

Round 2 of the NBL Canada playoffs is a 7-game affair requiring 4 wins to proceed to the finals.

In the Atlantic Division, the top seeded Halifax Hurricanes swept the Moncton Miracles while the Island Storm prevailed over the Saint John Riptide 3-2. The first game in the Atlantic finals gets underway May 14.

The first two games will take place, starting tonight, in London. Windsor will host games 3 and 4 at the Atlas Tube Centre in Belle River.
