Clippers Join Saints Basketball

(WINDSOR, ON) – The St Clair men’s basketball team have announced the signing of Ali Mansour and Glynn Willis-Paris, who will headline the Saints 2017-18 recruiting class. Both are Windsor products who played together at WC Kennedy Collegiate, winning the AA Windsor title after an undefeated 10-0 regular season in 2016-17.

After winning a SWOSSAA Championship, they claimed a bronze medal at OFSAA in Sault Ste Marie this past March.

Mansour is a 5’ 9” point guard who shared the WECSSAA MVP award for this past season. He averaged over 21 points per game at the OFSAA tournament, leading his team who narrowly lost their semi-final game to Thornlea 51-50.

“Ali is a pass first point guard with a very high basketball IQ,” said head coach Ricardo Tate. “He is very coachable and we are extremely fortunate to add him to our backcourt.”

Willis-Paris stands 6’ 7” and will bolster the forward positions for the Saints.

“Glynn is very active on both ends of the floor and can clear the glass really well. He is a good defender and quick off his feet to block shots with his 6’11 wingspan,” Tate said. “With some work in the weight room and some added muscle he will be a force to deal with in the future.”
