Huskies To Visit Fratmen

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor AKO Fratmen Football Club will kickoff it’s 2017 season at Alumni Field with an inter league match up with the Edmonton Huskies on Saturday, August 12 at 5:00pm.

The Huskies, established in 1954, play out of the six-team Prairie Football Conference. The team is guided by head coach Iain MacLean, who has held that position since 2013.

Last season the Huskies posted a 6-3 record and put up 330 points during the regular season. They were defeated in the first round of the playoffs by the Calgary Colts.

The Fratmen are coming off a 7-1 campaign in 2016. They defeated the Ottawa Sooners in the first round of the playoffs, but fell short in the title game against the Hamilton Hurricanes, ending their three-year reign as OFC champions.

Mike Lachance returns as head coach along with associate coach Mike Morencie.

Tickets are just $8 for the season kickoff, or the game can be watched live on WE-TV.
