(WINDSOR, ON) – Windsor’s Vardar Soccer Club has announced the appointment of Massimiliano “Max” Samsa to the position of head coach with the senior boys program. Samsa is not unfamiliar to the area and the Vardar Windsor family, having been one of the lead guest coaches at the club’s regionally acclaimed Summer Soccer Camp.

Bringing an enormous amount of soccer knowledge and experience to the area, Samsa is looking forward to passing on his expertise to the players of Vardar Windsor, a few of which may be some of the most sought after college and university players locally.

Samsa is a UEFA B License holder, and currently working on his A license, allowing him to coach professional players worldwide. He has also played at several clubs in Italy during his days as a professional, including AC Milan, US Triestina, Calcio, and FC Modena, as well as playing in various semi-pro leagues until his retirement in 2011.

As a member of the Italian U18 National Team, Samsa was voted the Italian National Amateur Goalkeeper of the Year in 1990. And, finally, he is the author of I’m para la tattica, Tactical Training for Keepers.

Vardar Windsor expects that the addition of Max Samsa to the coaching staff will elevate the notoriety of the regional club to a higher level. He’s predicted to push the boys to be their best with high expectations of dedication, desire, and drive.
