Adie Knox Welcomes Windsor Aces

(WINDSOR, ON) – Organizers with the newest GMHL franchise announced that the Windsor Aces will be competing in the upcoming 2017-18 season. The team will play their home games at Adie Knox Arena with the first game scheduled for September 9 against Essex County rival the Kingsville Kings.

“We hope that our group can create a buzz around the Aces that will help bring the hockey fans out and get community support,” said Joe Byrne Jr, the owner and head coach of the Aces. “Continue the growth of the team in years to come, through our visibility in the neighbourhoods as we engage with the many community groups in the city of Windsor.”

Game one on Saturday against Kingsville gets underway at 7:30pm at Adie Knox.

“We endeavour to create a team environment focused on hockey skill and player development, along with education, citizenship, and community involvement,” said Bill Champman, the public relations director for the Aces. “Also guiding the young men who represent us to becoming better hockey players and community leaders.”
