Perfect Weekend For Saints Women

(WINDSOR, ON) – The St Clair women’s softball team moved their record to 14-4 with four wins this past weekend at the main campus diamond. The Lady Saints dropped Mohawk Saturday by scores of 9-4 and 11-0 before sweeping Humber 5-0 and 3-2 on Sunday.

St Clair outlasted Mohawk in Saturday’s opening game by overcoming a slight deficit. Sara Stiller worked 7 innings for the win on the mound. Alexandra Senft had a home run and 2 RBI’s to lead the Saints offensively.

In the mercy shortened second game, Olivia Elliott got her 5th win of the season on the hill for St Clair and Senft contributed 3 more hits at the plate.

On Sunday, the Saints scored 3 runs in the 4th inning and 2 more in the 5th to blank the Hawks in the opener. Elliott notched her 6th win in fine form by surrendering just 2 hits and striking out 11 for the complete game shutout.

Sarah Bondy had a double and an RBI for the Saints at the plate.

Elliott came back to earn a save in the final game of the weekend after relieving Stiller, who also picked up her 6th win of the season. Megan Lumley had two hits and a double with 2 RBI’s for the Saints.

The Saints are home for a doubleheader tonight against Fanshawe at Mic Mac Park on Diamond #2. The first pitch goes at 6pm and 8pm
