Pappin Pitches 12Ks In Toronto

(TORONTO, ON) – The St Clair Saints men’s baseball team (14-4) swept a doubleheader at Christie Pits in Toronto, over George Brown (3-15) Saturday afternoon, by scores of 7-2 and 11-0. However, the Saints games against Seneca College were postponed due to rain and poor field conditions on Sunday.



With the wins St Clair has a hold on 1st place in the OCAA pennant race.

In game one, St Clair received a complete game win from Taylor Pappin, who struck out 12 batters and gave up only 2 runs on 4 hits. Kevin Dion had three singles and an RBI to pace the Saints offensively.

In game two, the Saints scored 7 runs in the opening inning and cruised to a mercy-shortened 5-inning win. Garik Godard had two singles and a double with 3 RBI’s for St Clair. Micah Harris surrendered only 5 hits while striking out 4 batters in 5 innings of work.

St Clair awaits a decision on the makeup games with Seneca before getting ready to host the OCAA Provincial Championship Tournament, October 20 through 21 at Lacasse Park.
