Saints Solid Against Falcons

(LONDON, ON) – The  St Clair women’s soccer team wrapped up their OCAA regular season schedule with an upset win over the top ranked Fanshawe Falcons Tuesday evening in London. The Saints defeated the Falcons by a score of 1-0.

Cassie Nicholas got the only goal of the match in the 13th minute and Tory Brown was solid in net in picking up the win and the clean sheet.

With the win St Clair ended their regular season schedule with a record of 7-2-1 and in 2nd place in the OCAA West Division. They were just 1 point behind 1st place Fanshawe. The Falcons are ranked 4th in Ontario and 11th in Canada.

St Clair will take on the 4th place team in the East Division Sunday afternoon in an opening round playoff match at 1pm. The winner will advance to the OCAA Championship in Sudbury the following weekend.
