Fratmen Hosts Hamilton For OFC Supremacy

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Windsor AKO Fratmen (7-1) will be looking for revenge when they meet up with the Hamilton Hurricanes (5-3) for the OFC title. Last year, the Hurricanes defeated AKO in the championship game by a score of 52-21 at Tim Horton’s Field in Hamilton.

Hamilton qualified for the Championship game by defeating the London Beefeaters 44-7 on October 21. The Fratmen earned their berth in the OFC Finals by eliminating the Ottawa Sooners 42-14 this past Saturday.

In their only meeting of the 2017 regular season, on September 16 at the Wayne Gretzky Complex in Brantford, the Fratmen came back after falling behind 7-3 after the first 30 minutes. Windsor outscored the Hurricanes in the second half to claim a 32-21 come-from-behind victory.

The Championship game will be played Sunday, October 29 at Alumni Field with the kickoff scheduled for 2pm. Tickets are available at the gate for just $10 with discounts available for seniors and youths under 12.

The game will be webcast live at WE-TV.

The winner of the OFC Championship will go on to host the Canadian Bowl on Saturday, November 11.
