Vipers Skate Past Maroons

(LaSALLE, ON) – Last night the LaSalle Vipers took on the Chatham Maroons at the Vollmer Centre in front of a crowd of just over 650 fans. Colautti Flooring and Counter Tops sponsored the game, bringing along a couple of great raffle prizes that lucky Vipers fans got to take home.

The Vipers opened up the night’s scoring early in the second period with a goal from Tyler Russell, and help coming from Kory Silverio and Evan Ferguson.

At 7:35, Frank Zak broke across the blue line into the attacking zone dropping a pass to Stefan Dobrich who quickly put it on Aidan Ryan’s stick. Ryan drove to the net sneaking the puck past Chatham goalie John Massara, to give the Vipers a 2-0 lead.

Chatham made their presence known at the tail end of the 2nd with a goal from their captain, Noah Bushnell. The period closed out with a 2-1 score.

The 3rd period began with the Vipers captain, Eric Kirby, advancing LaSalle to a 2-goal lead, just two and a half minutes in. Three minutes later, the Vipers tallied their fourth and final goal of the game, courtesy of Manny Silverio.

The last fourteen minutes of the period remained scoreless, leaving the Vipers with a commanding 4-1 victory.

The LaSalle Vipers next home game is against the St Thomas Stars on December 13.
